Let’s face it: Whether we’re watching penguins in the Arctic, warm puppies asleep in our kitchen, or LOL cats on the internets, who can resist our adorable animal friends?
That’s why it was easy for us when choosing the theme of the month for September. In the coming weeks, we’re all about animals: pet adoption, wildlife protection, endangered species work, healthy eating, and fair treatment of animals.
We’ll be featuring nonprofits and fundraisers lending big helping hands to animals across the globe, so you can see who is making a difference in the world.
And the best part is: you can make a difference, too. As we make our way through the month, discover what organizations are worthy of your time and support.
For instance, right now on our homepage, we’re featuring three projects that are movers and shakers for animals. “Feed a lion, tiger, cougar, bobcat or other exotic cat” has already raised $33,425 to feed large, endangered felines through Big Cat Rescue. Meanwhile, “Rescue Fund for ‘George‘” is providing animals, like George the dog, the veterinary care. “Providing medical and rehabilitative care for wildlife,” on the other hand, is seeking help for the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center — a place that provides donation-backed medical services for animals. To see these featured projects and more, you can visit our homepage.
We hope you’ll join us this month as we celebrate our animal friends. As a Three Dog Night once sang, joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea / Joy to you and me!
