A Message from Gary Vee: Don't Pitch Me, Bro

Today, over 150 Washington, DC-area nonprofit community leaders are meeting at the AARP building for an all-day, online fundraising training conference for Give to the Max Day: Greater Washington. New York Times bestselling Author of the Thank You Economy, Gary Vaynerchuk provided these nonprofit leaders a short video message about online fundraising as they prep and prime for this 24-hour fundraising marathoon on November 9th.

While Gary does discuss the problem of being overpitched, he gets into the importance of context in online relationships. It’s a fascinating video.

We have the privilege of hosting several leaders in the social world of nonprofit fundraising to give their insights, including Beth Kanter, Katya Andresen and Dana Nelson. In addition, our own Geoff Livingston will host a panel at 1:20PM that will discuss Gary’s video, including Atlas Corp’s Abby Flottemesch, ACTion Alexandria‘s Tracy Viselli, Care2‘s Clint O’Brien, and National Wildlife Federation’s Danielle Brigida.

You can watch the whole conference online live here. The whole agenda can be viewed here.
