Add a uniquely personal touch to the online giving experience with a custom thank you video.
If you have a fundraising page on Mightycause, sign in and navigate to your fundraiser, then select “Edit Page.” You’ll be able to include a link to a video from YouTube or Vimeo under “Customizable Options.” We’ll show donors this video after they’ve made a donation. If you’re a nonprofit administrator on Mightycause, you can include thank you videos for your main organization page and for any of your projects.

– Many other smartphones by BlackBerry, HTC, Motorola, Nokia and Samsung, as well as other Apple products, have built-in camera and video capabilities, and let you to upload your video directly to YouTube.
– Animoto allows you to create a wide variety of slideshows. Their “Lite” subscription gives you access to create an unlimited amount of 30 second videos – the perfect length for a quick thank you!

Lisa – This is an incredible idea! A personalized thank you on a page after someone has donated goes a long way in having that person become more than just a one-time donor (A study by Blackbaud found that 75%+ of an orgs donors only donate once and never return).
The thank you should be personal and sincere (donors can smell insincerity a mile away).
Thanks for the comment John! This is just a first step for us. Yes – we wanted to make it possible for fundraisers to put their own personal video up to thank their donors. And yes – we need to train people on how to make it personal. I’d say (and I think you agree) that “personal” is more important than “professional”. These days you can just record yourself on your webcam and shoot it up to youtube: http://www.youtube.com/my_webcam
