Who Will Win the Cultures of Giving Challenge?

The 10 day Cultures of Giving Donor Challenge will end tomorrow. Twenty-two nonprofits are participating in the online giving campaign. Presented by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Cultures of Giving Donor Challenge supports nonprofits addressing high-priority issues in diverse communities across the country.

As the above leader board shows, the competition is tight from top to bottom for the ten awards. The top fundraiser will win $100,000, 2nd $50,000, 3rd $25,000, 4th and 5th places get $10,000 and 6th through 10th places will win $5000.

A bonus, today is the final individual challenge during the giving day. The Secure Families competition features organizations raising money and competing for “top fundraiser” prizes around their special projects focused on the economic success of children and their families. For this competition 1st wins $25,000, 2nd wins $15,000, 3rd $5,000, 4th $3,500, and 5th $1,500.

As you can see there is plenty of excitement left in this giving challenge.

The challenge is a unique opportunity to celebrate diverse traditions of giving, while leveraging the impact of collective philanthropy to support communities in need. The foundation’s goal is to get thousands of community donors to support the projects of the well-respected nonprofits, raising donations from April 17th through 26th, which coincides with National Volunteer Month.
